Biography

Pine Drewyor was born in Lansing Michigan in 1974. He, two of his four older siblings and his parents moved to Huntsville Arkansas in 1980 onto a pig and horse farm. He attended Governor's School in the summer of 1991 prior to graduating valedictorian from Huntsville High School in 1992.

Pine attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville starting in August 1992. He was a Chancellor's Scholar, Governor's Scholar and Walton Fellow. He graduated in 1996 with a B.S.B.A in International Finance with a minor in Chemical Engineering and Accounting. He then attended the University of Arkansas School of Law in 1997 until graduation in 2000.

After graduation from law school, Pine began his legal career in Fayetteville handling family and criminal cases with a small Fayetteville firm. One year later, when Jill Grimsley, his girlfriend at the time now wife of almost ten (10) years, finished her legal education from Tulane Law Firm, he and she moved to Tulsa Oklahoma. Pine began with the Tulsa County District Attorney's Office in 2001 working there for one (1) year. In his time at the prosecutor's office, he had a caseload of over 400 active casefiles with multiple cases taken to jury and non-jury (bench) trial.

Pine then began work in private practice in 2002 with the firm of Latham, Stall, Wagner, Steele and Lehman. His practice consisted primarily of insurance defense, including being outside counsel for Wal-Mart, medical malpractice defense, and trucking and automobile insurance defense. His practice also involved working on banking and business litigation. In private practice with Latham Wagner, Pine had both first and second chair experience on numerous cases taken to jury and bench trials. Of Pine's extensive case work, many were resolved prior to trial via alternate dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration.

In late 2007, the Drewyor family moved back to Northwest Arkansas, settling in Bentonville Arkansas, Jill's hometown. Pine opened his own firm in December 2007. He changed the main focus from the defense side of cases to the plaintiff's side upon opening his office in Arkansas. He handled cases ranging from construction and heavy machinery injuries and fatalities to business disputes to family and criminal cases. He chose to leverage his extensive insurance defense background to assist plaintiffs in their personal injury cases as the lion's share of his practice today.

Pine joined his firm with that of Don Kendall in October 2009. Kendall Drewyor Law Firm has continued to handle cases from Pine and Don's practice areas, along with employment cases, from the time of the joining of the firms up to the present.

Pine and Jill Grimsley Drewyor have been married for almost ten (10) years. Jill is a partner at the Rogers office of Mitchell Williams law firm. They have two young girls, Margot and Trixie Lu, two dogs (PBGV's) and one polydactyl cat (6 toed Hemingway cat).

Pine is a member of the Bentonville Noon Rotary Club, on the Board of Directors and is the upcoming President-Elect. He is also a member of the Benton County, Arkansas and Oklahoma Bar Associations, Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association, Oklahoma Association for Justice and the American Association for Justice.
